🌿 What is the Citizen Naturalist Course?
This is a 50-hour hybrid certification course designed to transform your curiosity into a practical, lifelong skill set. Whether you want to explore a side gig, build a nature-linked career, contribute to real-world citizen science, or simply see the world through a much richer lens, this program builds your foundation.
We bridge the gap between academic ecology and hands-on field craft. Over the course of 10 days, you will dive into:
- Reading Landscapes: Train your eyes to decode ecosystems, soil, water, and local biodiversity.
- Going Beyond Names: Shift from merely identifying species to observing real-time behaviors, habitats, and ecological webs.
- Building Field Habits: Develop rigorous, practical field observation, journaling, and documentation skills.
- Opening New Doors: Discover pathways for nature-linked hobbies, careers, guiding, storytelling, or eco-tourism.
📅 Course Details & Schedule
- Dates: 31 July – 7 August 2026 (Online Sessions) | 8–9 August 2026 (Residential Field Experience)
- The Format: Structured, highly interactive weekday online sessions, culminating in an immersive, hands-on weekend field residency.

If you are in Hyderabad and want a taste of what “slow observation” and natural history storytelling feel like, come walk with us this weekend.
We are tracking Tiger Beetles—some of the fastest, fiercest, and most brilliantly metallic predators hiding right under our feet. Most people walk right past them, but this Saturday, you’ll learn how to spot them and understand their fascinating lives.
