I have done by Certified Citizen Naturalist course from The Naturalist School (TNS). It was an awesome experience filled with knowledge & learning. The course divided between online & offline sessions by keeping the busy schedules in mind for working professionals. All the trainers were highly knowledgable & masters in their own field. The offline residential session over the weekend was cherry on the cake. A lot of field works with highly knowledgable trainers gave a lot of opportunities to know about many species which generally we overlook. Overall a highly recommended course for someone who wants to know more about nature & it's jewels.Posted on Google Praneetha Indukuri13/08/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently completed the CitiNat Foundation Course, and it was such an interesting and enriching experience. I went into the course knowing very little about birds, insects, plants, and the natural world around me, but every session taught me something new and made me look at nature with so much more curiosity. The sessions were engaging, informative, and explained in a way that made learning genuinely enjoyable. I especially loved how the course encouraged us to observe things we would normally walk past without noticing. I’ve come away with so much more knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the biodiversity around us.Posted on Google anand ramasamy13/08/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I want to build my career in nature, ecology and biodiversity conservation. I've been into flora & fauna documentation since 2023, and I want to take the next step. I am waiting for the right opportunity to be trained by the right people. Glad I did the Citizen Naturalist foundation course from “The Naturalist School”. An important decision in building my Naturalist portfolio.Posted on Google Nikitha Karumbaiah13/08/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Attending The Naturalist School’s hybrid Citizen Naturalist Foundation Course in Hyderabad was an eye-opening experience. The initial online modules were equally engaging and informative, laying a solid foundation for the hands-on residential session at the Beforest Hyderabad Collective. Huge thanks to Suhas and Ashwin for a fantastic experience and for fostering such a warm community of like-minded peers. Highly recommended for anyone seeking to learn, find inspiration, and deepen their relationship with nature!Posted on Google Salman Syed12/08/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Completing the Certified Naturalist course at The Naturalist School (TNS) has been a deeply transformative experience. It didn't just teach me about nature; it truly boosted my confidence and gave me the push I needed for my ecopreneur journey. Here are my top 3 highlights from the course: The Location: Having the privilege to walk into Bannerghatta every single day was absolutely unmatched. It’s the perfect living classroom. On-the-Job Training (OJT): The practical, hands-on learning was incredible. I was able to immediately apply everything I learned—from concrete natural history knowledge to guiding techniques. Plus, getting an inside look at how an eco-farm operates was a massive bonus. The People: The mentorship here is stellar. A huge thank you to Suhas, our mentor and trainer, and to Priya and Karthik for providing such an amazing platform to learn, grow, and truly be myself alongside fellow nature lovers. Chandu Bandi also deserves a special mention for opening my eyes to the diverse, creative ways nature walks can be conducted. I am incredibly grateful to TNS for this experience. If you are looking to deepen your relationship with the wild or build a career in ecology, this is the place to be.Posted on Google C K Sridhar30/06/2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I joined The Naturalist School because I wanted to become a professional naturalist. I come from a background in journalism, having worked in mainstream media as well as a couple of startups. But nature, the outdoors, sharing wildlife experiences, and writing about the natural world have always been close to my heart. Last December, I moved to BR Hills and began conducting bird walks and nature experiences for guests at a nearby centre. That was when I realised that if I wanted to pursue this path seriously, the next logical step was to undergo a structured certification programme. The Naturalist School came highly recommended, and enrolling there has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The learning experience has been immersive, demanding, and immensely rewarding—almost like a boot camp in the best possible sense. The programme combines classroom learning with extensive fieldwork and culminates in a month-long on-the-job training component. I was fortunate to spend my OJT at Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, an experience that added tremendous depth to everything we had learnt. From unforgettable tiger sightings at Tadoba to exceptional birding around Bannerghatta Nature Camp, where much of the programme is based, the course has been filled with memorable moments. Whether it was following alarm calls in the forest, observing animal behaviour, understanding ecological linkages, or learning to interpret nature rather than simply identify species, every field session added another layer of understanding. The programme was full of those wonderful “aha” moments—discoveries and insights that now enrich the stories I can share with guests. My heartfelt compliments to the faculty and the entire team at The Naturalist School. What impressed me most was their steady, thoughtful approach to teaching and the outstanding resource persons they bring in. The classroom sessions, field walks, species identification, ecological interpretation, and the emphasis on storytelling all came together beautifully. Rather than teaching us to memorise facts, the faculty encouraged us to observe closely, ask questions, make connections, and communicate the wonder of the natural world. If you’re serious about becoming a naturalist—or simply want to deepen your understanding of nature through a rigorous, hands-on programme—I would wholeheartedly recommend The Naturalist School.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
