Arjun Manjunath

Story teller, Naturalist, Nature Educator

A naturalist by choice, Arjun M. Bhardwaj took the bold step of leaving behind a career in IT when he realized his true calling lay far beyond the screen - out in the wild. His journey with nature began early, shaped by hands-on involvement in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, efforts to prevent illegal wildlife trade, and working closely with the Karnataka Forest Department to spread awareness on conservation. With a Master’s degree in Zoology, Arjun combines academic grounding with deep, lived experience in the field. Over the years, he has built an immersive understanding of India’s wilderness—spending time across landscapes like Kabini, Tadoba, and Ranthambore Tiger Reserve—developing a keen eye for animal behaviour and ecosystem dynamics. An ardent traveller and committed advocate of ecotourism, Arjun believes that wildlife is not just to be observed, but protected. His work reflects this philosophy—whether he is a teacher leading nature walks and talks, a writer and researcher, a graphic artist designing interpretation material, a photographer, or even a storyteller drawing from history and landscape. His association with premier hospitality spaces, including luxury wilderness lodges like The Oberoi Vanyavilas, highlights his ability to seamlessly blend conservation with high-end tourism. Today, he travels as a personal naturalist to high-profile clients and serves as a senior consultant to luxury resorts across India, curating meaningful, responsible, and deeply immersive wildlife experiences.
