A Professional Pathway to Becoming a Naturalist
CNAT Batch 5 Applications Are Open
This November, we’re opening the doors to the next cohort of our Certified Naturalist Course (CNAT) — 750-hour flagship programme that brings together natural history, landscape and habitat studies, nature interpretation, field skills, tourism and hospitality, and essential outdoor safety.
But beyond what you learn, the course is about learning how to observe, interpret and experience nature in the field.

What 750 Hours Can Do: CNAT Batch 4 Graduates
Before we look ahead to November, a quick look back. This June, CNAT Batch 4 closed out its own 750-hour journey. Three months of morning nature walks, insightful sessions and time in the field came full circle.
CNAT Batch 4, wrapped up beautifully with a Valedictory Ceremony at Bannerghatta Nature Camp on the 28th June, closing out a journey that took participants through Online modules, a Residential immersion, hands-on On-the-Job Training with our industry partners, and a Post-OJT stretch of reflection and final assessments before they crossed the stage.
Three graduates have already gone on to get the placements at eco-tourism properties, carrying what they learned straight into the field and a few have started their own new Ecopreneurship ventures.
Congratulations to each one of our graduates on this remarkable milestone.
We are incredibly proud of all that you’ve achieved and can’t wait to see where your journeys take you next.
Welcome to the The Naturalist School Alumni family. Here’s to a lifetime of noticing, learning, and inspiring others to connect with the natural world 💚
