Certified Birding Guide

The course aims at imparting knowledge and skills on identification of birds based on key field characteristics and general knowledge about avifauna; it broadly covers bird evolution and history, bird classification and diversity, birds’ behaviour and their habitats, importance of birds in ecosystem, bird conservation and bird tourism as a livelihood option. Guides would have enough knowledge about the birds of the surrounding forest, wetland, grassland or respective habitat to provide fulfilling guest experiences. This course could also be taken as part fulfilment towards ‘Naturalist’ specialisation.
