Course – Certified Nature Guide – Batch 1

India’s first batch of Certified Nature Guide course was held in Nov& Dec of 2022. The course is a 200-hour immersive programme that has a good mix of field work, group projects, classroom training and experiential learning.

As part of the training, participants put their new learning into practice by independently leading guests at eco-lodges. After a final round of assessment by Skill India under the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, they were set to advance their careers in the field.

Some of our participants will start new careers or aim for better jobs in the wildlife and ecotourism industry. Others hope to start ecotourism ventures to become ecopreneurs. Some have added new skills to their existing portfolios. All of them are now are part of The Naturalist School community – and we are thrilled to know them! We too have learnt so much from them.
